Warranty Policy

Warranty

Oster products have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty entitles you to all the benefits provided by the support of our Service Center Network and to receive superior service according to the following conditions:

If this product fails under normal use conditions and within the warranty period, we will repair it at no cost to you. If you require warranty service or assistance, please contact our Service Center indicated on the certificate that accompanies your product. To claim your warranty, it is essential to present this certificate along with the original or a copy of the purchase receipt.

This warranty does not cover any small household appliances from Oster

Component Warranty

It is the benefit that Oster provides by extending the component warranty on its products with Inverter technology. This complements our factory warranty and reinforces our commitment to offering you increasing benefits that support your purchase. It applies to purchases made from July 1, 2024, and is exclusively applicable to the following components

Warranty conditions

The factory warranty and component warranty will apply according to the following:

Failures under normal use conditions, provided that the product is installed and operating according to the instructions contained in the manual or respective guides attached or provided with the product. This warranty does not apply under industrial or commercial use, disassembly, or repairs made by someone who is not part of our team of certified technicians. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents, electrical grid variations, or misuse of the product. To claim your warranty, it is essential to present the original purchase receipt and request service through our Service Center Network.

The component warranty is calculated from the date of purchase and is validated with the presentation of the original receipt. The application of this benefit is specific to the indicated component, which will be supplied at no cost*. Associated expenses, such as labor and transportation, as well as other necessary repair expenses, will be borne by the user.

*If a malfunction is reported after the one-year warranty period has ended, the user must contact Oster’s Service Centers to request assistance. Once the warranty period has expired, the user will need to pay for the technical evaluation. If it is determined that a repair requires the replacement of a part covered by the component warranty, only the other associated costs in the repair estimate will be considered, which must be paid by the user. The intervention of personnel outside our Service Center Network will invalidate this warranty.

Warranty exclusions

  • If the serial number is removed, altered, or not completely legible.
  • Service or intervention by unauthorized persons and/or service centers not authorized by Oster.
  • Products that have not been installed properly according to the user manual instructions.
  • Misuse, improper use, or use different from what is indicated in the user manual.
  • Damage caused by using the product for any purpose other than domestic use.
  • Failures caused by voltage fluctuations, electrical surges, or lightning, or connecting the products to voltages different from those specified.
  • Damage caused by rodents, insects, or other animals.
  • Claims for missing parts.
  • Lack of preventive maintenance as outlined in the user manual.
  • Physical damage such as dents, scratches, bumps, or similar, not related to manufacturing defects.
  • Components damaged by improper cleaning or by using cleaning agents not recommended.
  • Damage caused by natural forces such as earthquakes, floods, storms, fires, etc.
  • Installation service, removal of previous products, feasibility studies, maintenance, or replacement of consumable parts.

Limitation of liability

Aesthetic and/or functional damages to products sold that were previously part of a display do not have a warranty. In the case of functional damages, it must be demonstrated through a technical evaluation that these are related to or are a consequence of the display condition.

The factory warranty applies only in the country where the purchase was made.

Oster shall not be liable for incidental or indirect damages of any kind resulting from the use or inability to use the product.

Returns and exchanges

In cases where Oster, at its sole discretion and without prejudice to the legal warranty, considers the application of a product exchange or return due to malfunction, this decision will be communicated to the customer and/or the distributor/store listed in the purchase document. For this, a technical evaluation conducted by personnel from our Service Center Network is required.

This process is carried out through the purchase establishment according to the procedure defined in their policies.
